Specialist sales, development and marketing company for the food sector, WCB Marketing, has appointed Richard Ford as marketing manager. Ford joins from Robinson Young, where he headed up the company’s product development for its household division. He will be responsible for NPD and sales and marketing strategies, working alongside managing director Andrew Berisford.

Duncan Gray has joined Honeytop Speciality Foods in a new role as financial controller. Based at the company’s site in Dunstable, Gray will be responsible for the financial function of the business, including financial reporting, credit control, payment management and payroll. He joins the firm from Next Retail.

The Freight Transport Association (FTA) has appointed Chris Thornton as managing director - business services. He will be responsible for the management and development of all FTA revenue-generating services, including the Vehicle Inspection Service, Tachofta, Shopfta and training. FTA service revenue turns over almost £20 million per year. Thornton was previously strategy and IS director with Autoglass.

The FTA has also appointed Nikki Skegg as quality manager - Tachofta. This new role will focus on ensuring the FTA’s range of tachograph services continues to operate at high and consistent standards.

David Evenett has joined refrigerated vehicle company London Hire TCS as general sales manager. Evenett has worked for 15 years with various commercial transport companies, such as Henderson Mobile, GRP Group, GAH Refrigeration and Coldchain Vehicle Solutions.

== Gabrielle Bond ==

UK marketing manager.

Rich Products has appointed Gabrielle Bond as its UK marketing manager. Bond is based at the company’s UK headquarters in Fareham, where she is responsible for managing marketing of the company’s core product ranges, including cookies, muffins, shortbreads and fermented goods.

She will also liaise with the firm’s American parent company to capture market data and trends. She previously worked as marketing manager at Food Brokers.

Bako Northern and Bako Scotland have appointed a new purchasing manager, Eifion Owen, to cover both sites. Owen replaces Irene Stout, who is retiring as senior buyer for the company in August, with over 34 years’ service. Owen’s last role was site purchasing manager for Cavagham & Gray.

General Mills has made two changes to its category and consumer research teams. Natasha Hritzuk is promoted to category and consumer insights manager. She was previously senior insights manager for Old El Paso Mexican meal kits and Betty Crocker home baking. She takes over from Martyn Crook, who has moved to the US to take up the role of international opportunity assessment manager.

Finsbury Food Group has appointed Lisa Morgan as group finance director. Morgan has worked her way up through the accounting department of its Memory Lane Cakes division over the last six years. Previous group finance director John Lomer will remain a consultant at Finsbury for the next six months during a handover. He leaves to return to strategic consultancy. n
