Midlands-based Proper Pies has acquired Leicestershire bakery firm Barton & White for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition will see the Barton & White name added to the group of companies owned by food entrepreneurs Martyn Thomas and Kevin Morel, which includes Oliver James Foods, the UK’s leading ‘sous vide’ specialist, and Proper Pies.
Barton & White supplies handmade chilled and and frozen desserts and savouries, while Proper Pies manufactures pies, bakes and desserts.
Established in 2005, Barton & White supplies some of the country’s largest food supply chains across the travel, retail and hospitality sectors.
