Icing specialist Renshaw hosted the British Confectioners’ Association’s (BCA) annual gathering for 50 members at its Liverpool headquarters.
The group, led by John Waterfield of Waterfields Bakery in Leigh, spent the day visiting the Waterfields business and Renshaw. Once at Renshaw, the group was given a tour around the production facility where visitors saw its Ready to Roll Icing and Marzipan lines in session, as the company prepares for the pre-Christmas season.
Robin Mountain, Renshaw managing director, said: “When the BCA asked for a visit to Renshaw, we jumped at the chance. It is a great opportunity to put ourselves and our products in front of many of the key figures in the British bakery and confectionery industry. We are about to launch a couple of really important initiatives and the timing was perfect for presenting these. It was a great day.”
Waterfield of Waterfields Bakery added: “Renshaw was asked to present its business in a manner that gave value to the members of the BCA. Within the two-and-a-half hour time slot we received a factory tour, a technical update on the Southampton six colours and a presentation of some 30 product lines that could be adapted for our own business. Renshaw also threw in refreshments for good measure. Members of the BCA always want to get good value from the time that is allocated to their meetings and I would like to thank all members of their team.”
