Falmouth-based bakery WC Rowe was last month awarded Local Supplier of the Year by supermarket chain Asda.

Rowe’s, which has 16 shops, has supplied Asda regionally and nationally for around 15 years with products ranging from  Saffron Buns to a range of savoury products.

The award was presented by Richard Pearson at an awards ceremony held in Leeds and attended by over 600 suppliers. Rowe’s sales director Mark Brown commented: "The business has grown tremendously over recent years. To have a national retailer acknowledge our products and service is a real testament to the business."
