The Weight Watchers range of muffins from Anthony Alan Foods (Barnsley, South Yorkshire) have the taste and texture of regular muffins but with significantly less fat and fewer calories, says the company.
“We’ve looked at popular products in the marketplace then developed our own healthier choices without sacrificing any taste,” says Mark Rooza, UK sales director.
The muffin selection includes a double chocolate chip muffin, a blueberry option, and a lemon and sultana variety.
Anthony Alan says the muffins are a handy snack for impulse buying during a lunch break. Available in individual packs, four-packs and mini muffin 12-packs, they will generate extra sales for bakers, it adds.
