Tesco’s executive director of corporate and legal affairs Lucy Neville Rolfe will be giving an insight into the supermarket’s corporate social responsibility strategy (CSR) at British Baker’s Baking Industry Summit, to be held in London on 27 November.

In an industry where food is baked, packaged, distributed, sold and thrown away daily, the chain of efficiency in bakery and food-to-go sectors is a continual challenge. Via real-life examples and advice, the summit will illustrate how business can benefit from implementing an effective, sustainable CSR strategy.

Also confirmed is Huw Edwards, commercial director - central buying, bakery and cafés at Asda.

Other speakers include leading figures from supermarkets, bakery suppliers, plant baking and bakery businesses, such as Greggs and Bells of Lazonby, as well as waste and packaging experts, such as Andrew Parry, food waste minimisation manager at WRAP.
