Wrexham manufacturer The Village Bakery has unveiled a new look to coincide with its 80th anniversary year.
The rebrand has sought to emphasise the company’s “Welshness”, and marks a new chapter in The Village Bakery’s history as it looks ramp up its wholesale business, it said.
The bakery worked with branding expert Allison Murray on updating its packaging of the past 15 years.
Murray, who has worked for a number of big names including Cadbury’s and Coca Cola, said: “The brand needed a more contemporary treatment, building on the excellent reputation of this family company and the products that the Village Bakery produce, so that its reputation can spread to cover the whole of Wales.”
The new look features black and gold as the predominant colours, with the signature of company chairman Alan Jones featuring on the packaging of several of its products.
Ola Janczukowicz, account manager, The Village Bakery, said: “It is now being applied to absolutely everything – the packaging, our new website, our fleet of delivery lorries, business cards, stationery and signage.”
