Clark’s Pies is targeting business growth by merging its two Cardiff bakeries.
The family-owned company plans to move staff and production from the Victoria Park bakery to its other bakery in Grangetown which will be extended and refitted later this summer.
Grandson of founder Mary Clark, Dennis Dutch, said it was an exciting time for the company. "Merging our two bakeries will focus expertise on one site, which will help to make us fitter for the future." He added that while there would be some staff reorganisation, there would be no compulsory redundancies.
The company also plans to develop new products and hopes to extend its customer base.
Its pies are supplied to retail outlets, takeaways, cafés and pubs in Cardiff and surrounding areas as well as the Cardiff City stadium.
