Bakery Products, which went into administration earlier this month, has been unable to secure a buyer, resulting in more than 100 job losses at its Scarborough bakery.
John Russell and Andy Wood from The P&A Partnership have been appointed as joint administrators.
Bakery Products, which is part of supermarket business Haldane Retail Group, was set up in April 2011, to acquire the bakery and 11 shops from Woodhead Bakery, after it went into administration.
It then acquired the assets and goodwill of Hobson Foods, which had previously traded as Tindale & Stanton, in November last year.
According to the administrators the Tindale & Stanton bakery in Newcastle upon Tyne, and two Howards Bakery shops in Harrogate, North Yorkshire are still trading.
Wood, said: “We have kept Bakery Products going all week in a bid to find a buyer for it as a going concern. Regrettably that has not been possible and we were left with no choice other than to close the bakery. I would like to thank those staff who have helped us to keep trading in difficult circumstances.”
