Claridge’s Bakery has unveiled a £15 meal deal for its customers in central London’s Mayfair district.

Comprising a choice of signature sandwich, drink, and sweet treat, the Mayfair Meal Deal is available daily during opening times (Monday to Friday: 8am-6pm, Saturday to Sunday: 9am-4pm).

Sandwich selection changes each day and features freshly baked sourdough, bloomers, baguettes, granary loaves and other artisanal breads with classic fillings like egg mayonnaise, Coronation chicken, tuna & sweetcorn, cheese salad, and smoked salmon & cream cheese.

Sweet treats are similarly inspired by British nostalgia, such as Bakewell tarts, iced fingers, custard tarts, Belgian buns, French fancies, and signature Jammy Dodgers.

Tucked away on Brook’s Mews behind the five-star Claridge’s Hotel, the bakery was officially opened at the start of this year. It is lead by acclaimed chef and baker Richard Hart, who marks his return to the UK after decades working abroad, joined by Frederic Doncel-Latorre as head baker.

UK consumers have shown a clear hunger for premium meal deals at supermarkets after they were introduced three years ago. Innovation within the space continues at pace – in recent weeks, Co-op updated its meal deal with globally inspired sandwiches and wraps, Asda unveiled a new £5 ‘luxury lunch’ meal deal, and Tesco began trialling new hot bakery options in its breakfast meal deal line-up

Shoppers have also been increasingly trading up in sandwiches specifically, with a compound annual growth rate of 29% for the premium sandwich market since 2022, compared to 3% for standard sandwiches [Circana data to 25 January 2026].

A recent ‘Prove It’ report from bakery supplier Délifrance found half of survey respondents in the UK (50%) saying they were eating more sandwiches than a year ago. “Far from being limited to lunch, sandwiches are now appearing across multiple dayparts, from breakfast to dinner, and increasingly serving as a convenient, satisfying option for busy households, young professionals and on-the-go consumers,” commented Stéphanie Brillouet, marketing director for Délifrance.

Such demand has attracted international brands to strike UK franchise deals, like Which Wich and Jersey Mike’s, while UK-born brands including Sandwich Sandwich, Marvin’s, and Crunch are continuing to expand estates.
