Greggs, Bakery Food Manufacturer of the Year, has announced its chairman will step down next year.
Derek Netherton, who was appointed chairman in March 2002, will not offer himself for re-election at the retailer’s Annual General Meeting next May.
It also revealed that Ian Durant, the current chairman of the Audit Committee, is to replace Netherton as chair.
Durant was appointed as an independent non-executive director of Greggs on 5 October 201. He is also chairman of Capital and Counties Properties and a non-executive director of Greene King and Home Retail Group.
