More than 40 individuals who have worked at Jenkins Bakery for over 10 years have been recognised at a special awards lunch.
Bosses at the bakery firm in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, which currently employees more than 300 individuals at its 25 bakery sites across South Wales, invited the long-serving members of staff to the Stradley Park Hotel.
Nine employees have been working at Jenkins Bakery for more than 20 years, while the remaining 36 members of staff had served between 10 and 20 years at the bakery business.
David Jenkins, company secretary and director at Jenkins Bakery, said: “We pride ourselves on recognising our staff with an annual long service awards lunch. We are a family business with a great tradition and we take great pleasure in the fact that we have a great relationship with our staff members. Their loyal service is one of the pillars on which our business is built.”
Jenkins Bakery was positioned 44th on British Baker’s 2012 list of top 75 bakery businesses, which is based on total store count.
