The Paul UK bakery chain is celebrating the first birthday of its Le Restaurant De Paul at Tower 42 in London with a French flag promotion.
It is handing out the 1,000 flags today (13 September) on Liverpool Street Station and around the City from 7.30am.
Anyone presenting a flag can choose a dish for £1 at the restaurant for one day only - Thursday 15 September - with options including coq au vin, salad boulangère or brioche perdue.
Those without a flag can quote ‘joyeux anniversaire’ on arrival to take advantage.
Paul’s two French restaurants in London are in Covent Garden and in Tower 42 on Old Broad Street in the City.
It also has nearly 30 café locations in London and bakeries in Birmingham, Newbury and Oxford.
