To celebrate the Olympic relay events today, Paul UK is holding its own ’baguette relay’ between its two shops on the Strand near Charing Cross, London.
Two teams of six people will run between the shops giving out free baguettes along the way from a basket. When they get to the end shop the other team will then set off with their baguettes. Outside the two shops, staff from Paul UK will also have chouquettes to give away to passers-by.
Taking part will be a mixture of shop people, team members and support staff including managing director, Esther O’ Halloran. Paul UK will start the race at 3pm but will be meeting at its shop on 79 The Strand from 2.30pm.
The company is a Baking Industry Awards finalist in this year’s Craft Baker of the Year award, sponsored by ADM Milling.
