In honour of British Pie Week (2 to 8 March) Pieminister is holding a #PieElection to get the old favourites back for pie fans.
There are nine pies available for consumers to ‘bring back’ including the Minty Lamb, which was discontinued after difficulty in sourcing British lamb all year round; Mr Porky; and Mama Calzone – one of the oldest and ‘rarest’ pies from Pieminister history.
A spokesman said: “The reason for our #PieElection is that over the years we’ve had to say goodbye to some great pies. The Minty Lamb had to go, for example, because it was tricky for us to source British lamb all year round. So in response to continued requests to bring back these pies, we’re giving power to the pie people, who will decide which three should return.”
To get involved, tweet Pieminister with the hashtag #PieElection and pick your favourite.
