Derbyshire-based bakery Stacey’s will celebrate National Sausage Roll Day on 5 June 2017 by making a 30ft sausage roll.
The giant sausage roll will be displayed at the front of its Ilkeston bakery, and pieces given away to customers.
In addition, the bakery will be hosting an event to give away 100 free sausage rolls to its customers at its shops in Ilkeston, Heanor and Eastwood.
David Stacey, director of Stacey’s Bakery, said the company was excited to be celebrating the day with its customers.
“We have been making sausage rolls for a long time and hope this event will put a smile on our customers’ faces, especially since our sausage rolls are a popular treat.”
Stacey added that the business would be encouraging the local community to get involved with its competition for the best piglet sausage roll. Photos of customers’ contributions will be shared on the bakery’s social media channels later that day.
