Sandwich chain Subway is expanding with another Welcome Break services outlet.
It will open at Welcome Break Newport Pagnell, located just north of Milton Keynes, close to Junction 14 of the M1.
Opening on 22 May 2014, the partnership has created 20 new jobs in the local area.
According to Tesh Patel, regional development agent for Subway, the brand hopes to see more Subway stores in Welcome Break service stations in the coming months.
Rod McKie, chief executive of Welcome Break, said: “We are thrilled to be opening the new Subwaystore at Welcome Break, Newport Pagnell. The Subwaybrand is an iconic one, that is known and loved throughout the UK and we are delighted that our customers now have yet another high quality offer to choose from that works perfectly for anyone who simply wants to continue their journey as quickly and seamlessly as possible.”
Working closely
Patel added: “We have been working closely with Welcome Break over recent months and we are very excited to be opening another outlet in the partnership. A Subwayfranchise is the perfect fit for the busy Newport Pagnell motorway service station and, from a consumer perspective, there is a real gap for healthier, made-to-order, great value options when customers stop on their travels.”
Subway partnered up with Welcome Break last December, opening its first outlet at Welcome Break’s Charnock Richard Services on the M6, and Woodall Services, just outside Sheffield.
