Scottish Bakers opened its new head office in Dunfermline last week.
The ceremony was opened by Hamish Allan, an honorary member of the association, who has recently helped set up a bakery learning academy for training baking apprentices.
A surprise visit was also made by Australian motivational speaker and bakery owner Tom O’Toole, who happened to be in the area for a wedding. O’Toole stayed to meet the ceremony attendees and gave a few words.
Chief executive Alan Clarke said the organisation was delighted with its new building and that “Scottish Bakers now has a world-class facility in Fife to provide world-class services to its members.”
The new premises boast high-quality office space, car parking and a state of the art training/board room with interactive electronic screens.
The ceremony received a surprise turnout of 72 people, instead of just 20 who were expected.
Guests included both new and retired members of Scottish Bakers.
