£12k-worth of Burton's biscuits stolen in Wales

A trailer full of biscuits worth £12,000 has been stolen from Burton’s Biscuits factory in Wales.

Police have said the incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday at Burton’s Llantarnam plant in Cwmbran, Torfaen.

The empty trailer was later located over 160 miles from the factory, on the A574 near Warrington.

The company were not yet able to divulge what type or brand of biscuits were inside the trailer.

Burton’s has said that it is an isolated incident, and that it is working closely with Gwent Police in their investigations.
