UK bakers are being urged to bigger, bolder and more creative than ever with their sweet treats for National Doughnut Week 2026.

Running from 16-24 May this year, the annual celebration sees bakers donate funds from the sales of doughnuts to raise money for charity The Children’s Trust which supports children with brain injury as well as their families by delivering rehabilitation, education and community services.

From eye-catching toppings and extravagant fillings to themed collections and personalised designs, bakers are encouraged to showcase their artistic talent and create a range of doughnuts specially designed for the fundraising week.

Bakeries to sign up so far include Aulds the Bakers, Birds Bakery, Cavan Bakery, Doughnotts, Dunns, Friary Mill Bakery, Simmons, and Warings Bakery.

Sussex-based Truffles Bakery is also among registered participants of National Doughnut Week 2026, teasing its limited-edition menu on social media with a different doughnut for every day. Flavours include triple chocolate cookie, rhubarb & custard, Neapolitan, and sticky toffee pudding.

Those interested in signing up can do so via the National Doughnut Week website until 15 May.

“National Doughnut Week is an important time in the baking calendar and it’s also a platform for bakers to raise funds for The Children’s Trust and really showcase what they can do,” said Ryan Gaskin, group leader traditional trade at CSM Ingredients, sponsors of National Doughnut Week.

This year, we’re encouraging the industry to go big - whether that’s bold flavour combinations, premium finishes or limited-edition ranges, or simply producing the most delicious jam doughnut. We know that customers are actively seeking out ‘little treat’ moments and National Doughnut Week is perfectly placed to deliver that sense of escape and indulgence.”

Launched in 1992, National Doughnut Week has now raised just under £1.2m in total for charity, with £672k donated directly to The Children’s Trust.
