The Baking Industry Awards 2023 took place on Tuesday 7 November at the Royal Lancaster in London, with winners crowned in 14 different categories. Enjoy some visual highlights from the event via our photo galleries below.
The drinks reception, sponsored by events firm Foodex Manufacturing Solutions, saw attendees gather in excitement for the night ahead. Progressing to the ballroom, guests were treated to a musical performance by Electric Strings quartet, with British Baker editor Amy North giving an upbeat welcome speech. After a gala dinner, comedian Ellie Taylor performed a well-received comedy set and then kicked off the awards ceremony.

With the category winners beaming with their gleaming trophies, all that was left was to clear dining tables to make way for the dancefloor! The afterparty also had guests enjoying casino table games (without gambling any real money) of Blackjack and Roulette, sponsored by bakery equipment manufacturer Rademaker.
Other activities sponsored by bakery ingredients supplier Kluman & Balter included table football, air hockey, an electronic game machine, and Scalextric car racing. Geary’s Bakeries brand Jason’s Sourdough were at hand to serve hot cheese toasties, ensuring energy levels remaining high until the small hours.
