Aryzta Food Solutions-owned Otis Spunkmeyer is driving Valentine’s Day sales through the roll-out of its new Champagne & Strawberry doughnut.
Available now, the new doughnut has a fruit berry compote filling and a champagne sparkle glaze, which is topped with strawberry pieces. The doughnuts will be supplied frozen in a case of 36 and can be defrosted in 90 minutes.
“Nothing says Valentine’s like champagne and strawberries, which is why this newly launched, premium doughnut will really hit the sweet spot with consumers in the mood for love,” said Aryzta’s head of marketing Paul Whitely.
“This time of year presents retailers with an opportunity to help their customers feel good by offering them something special.”
Valentine’s Day preparations are under way among bakery businesses, such as pastry brand Pidy, which launched the heart-shaped Sablee pastry case at the end of November last year.
