Greggs has teamed up with celebrity chef Nigella Lawson to celebrate the launch of its Christmas menu for 2024.
As part of the collaboration, domestic goddess Lawson stars in the food-to-go retailer’s new advert where she is glimpsed returning home to a London townhouse which is decorated with a traditional Christmas tree decked in Greggs baubles.
Affectionately known as the ‘Queen of Christmas’, she also declares in the advert that it is her favourite time of year before tucking into a Greggs Festive Bake. She also enthuses over the a “rapturous riot of flavour” and “succulent filling” as she looks at the camera.
Commenting on the collaboration, Lawson said: “As a longtime fan of Greggs, and especially their sausage rolls, I’m thrilled to be collaborating with them to celebrate the return of the iconic Christmas menu. Greggs brings joy wherever and whenever you choose to enjoy it, and I’m delighted to be sharing this with the nation this Christmas”.
While the advert confirms the return of the Festive Bake and Vegan Festive Bake, Greggs has also revamped its menu with new additions such as a Festive Flatbread and Toffee Fudge Muffin, among other bakery items (see below). It has also revamped its drinks range with a Mint Hot Chocolate and Mint Mocha available alongside the Orange Hot Chocolate and Gingerbread Flat White.
Greggs is also celebrating the run-up to Christmas with a brand-new Greggs Champagne bar, found in Fenwick’s food hall in Newscastle. Open until 31 December, diners will be treated to Greggs menu items paired with a range of ‘in vogue’ condiments as well as cocktails and Champagne.
