Coffee chain BB’s has launched a special edition ‘In the Pink’ muffin in aid of cancer charity the Marie Keating Foundation.
This October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, BB’s (short for bakers + baristas) will develop a new recipe of a Raspberry & White Chocolate muffin that will be baked by its craft bakers every morning. With each muffin sold, BB’s will donate 25p to the foundation to help fight against breast cancer.
The Foundation was set up by pop star Ronan Keating following the death of his mother to breast cancer. Keating partnered with BB’s last year to launch the Mrs Pink Muffin campaign, which raised over £12,000 for the Marie Keating Foundation.
Keating said almost all of us know someone who is affected by breast cancer.
“Having a Raspberry & White Chocolate muffin is a great way to give yourself an occasional treat, while also helping the Marie Keating Foundation in our fight against this disease,” said Keating. “There are BB’s bakers + baristas stores all around the country, so please drop by and join the fight against cancer this October.”
All BB’s bakers + baristas stores will be fundraising for the foundation and will promote messages about breast cancer awareness to its customers.
Andrew Moyes, CEO of BB’s, said the company was delighted to be ‘Pink Partners’ once again with the Marie Keating Foundation.
“Last year our customers really got behind the campaign and we are confident that they will do so again this year,” Moyes said. “Who can resist a Raspberry and White Chocolate muffin, especially when enjoying one is making a contribution to such a worthy cause.”
