Birmingham’s NEC filled with the aroma of freshly baked bread last month as 150 products did battle for the title of Britain’s Best Loaf 2017.

Yorkshire-based Seasons Bakery ultimately claimed the title with its innovative Beetroot Multiseed Sourdough loaf, chosen as the standout winner from the contest’s five categories: white, sourdough, innovation, wholegrain and gluten free.
