Glanbia Nutritionals, the fast growing foods ingredients company, has developed a new range of gluten free oats for the baking industry.
The OatPure range is being produced from a new multi-million Euro development in Portlaoise, Co Laois, Ireland specifically for a range of baked and snack products including bread, cookies, granola bars and on-the-go nutrition.
The oat mill went into production last year and the first batch of gluten free oats are to hit the European market in November. Glanbia Nutritionals has certified its oats at max 10 parts per million (ppm) gluten to exceed industry standards of 20ppm.
Rapid expansion

The development of the mill in Ireland closely follows the opening of a new state-of-the-art “next generation” grain processing facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
