Puratos UK has announced two new managerial appointments to its marketing and R&D teams.
Andrea Felician has joined the company as R&D manager for sourdough, while Ben Ledger has been appointed as marketing manager for bakery.
Joining from gluten-free bakery company Dr Schar and with previous experience in the Italian brewing industry, Felician has a remit of installing a new sourdough line at the Puratos facility in Simonswood, as well as developing the core range of sourdough and tailor-made products.
Ledger joined the Puratos UK marketing team as an intern in 2020, having graduated and spent his placement year at the company’s headquarters in Belgium. His role will be to drive the continued growth of Puratos UK brands through marketing intelligence, product management and customer development.
He will work closely with the R&D team to bring innovative products to the market, the company said.
“We are delighted to welcome Andrea and Ben to the team,” said Philippa Knight, marketing director.
“Andrea will be pivotal to the development of our growing sourdough business while Ben will be our bakery market expert, helping to develop and raise awareness of our range and ensuring we continue to delight our customers,” Knight added.
