Food and drink travel outlet operator SSP Group has opened two new James Martin Kitchen outlets, at Manchester Piccadilly station and Debenhams at Intu Lakeside, Essex.
The TV chef confirmed last month that he would be opening a bakery concept at the station in Manchester.
SSP CEO Simon Smith said James Martin Kitchen, which made its debut at London Stansted Airport in 2015, has been well received in both Manchester and Lakeside.
“James Martin Kitchen is a brand that passengers love and our clients want,” he said. “It’s a brand that has been developed to have the flexibility to perform well in a range of channels – whether that’s an airport, a railway station or a shopping centre.”
Martin said on his website: “When travelling around Britain I always found it difficult to get a really decent soup and a sandwich, so decided to open a place of my own called James Martin Kitchen, serving up proper British food.”
On offer in the bakery’s breakfast range will be a variety of hot and cold breakfast sandwiches and pastries. The lunchtime menu will include freshly made pies, wraps, sandwiches, baguettes and salads, as well as home-made cakes and biscuits.
