Giacomo Pischiutti will help Unox develop ovens and support its customers

Ovens supplier Unox has appointed Giacomo Pischiutti as UK corporate chef to grow the bakery side of the business.

Pischiutti will be based at the Unox UK Experience Centre in Surrey and has been employed to increase customer support and drive innovation.

Unox said his pastry and patisserie experience, including his understanding of the need for precision temperature, humidity and airflow, will enable Pischiutti to aid the company in developing new features and equipment while helping operators get the most from their appliances. He will also be appearing alongside the Unox team at trade shows and events.

Although he began a career as an accountant, Pischiutti’s passion for food inspired him to train as a pastry chef, working alongside Paco Torreblanca at the International School of Pastry Arts in Spain.

After working in top kitchens across Europe, he became a private chef for a high-profile Russian family in London, where he had an opportunity to develop his experience of cooking and working with fine ingredients from around the world.

“With my background in pastry and patisserie, I understand the need for quality, consistency and precision in the kitchen – all elements Unox equipment is known to deliver,” said Pischiutti

“I’m excited to be able to put my previous experience into practice, supporting customers and our product development team to get the best from the Unox range. Given the company’s continued growth and future plans, the opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time.”

Unox UK managing director Scott Duncan said the business was delighted to have Pischiutti join the team and strengthen product development and the support offered to customers.

“Not only can Giacomo be found in our development kitchen, but he is regularly visiting our customers, partners, dealers and distributors to help them to get the most out of their Unox ovens.”
