Ingredients company, Pecan Deluxe Candy has launched a range of healthier products which are lower in salt and fat.

The ’better for you’ range includes products suitable for use in bakery items, such as reduced fat and salt brownie pieces and no-sugar chocolate pieces.

A variety of flavours and sizes is available, for example, 6mm or 9mm pieces, depending on the application.

Pecan Deluxe’s UK managing director Allan Dew commented: "It is clear that consumers are more aware of the importance of nutrition and a balanced diet, and this increased public attention to health and nutrition means that the food industry has to continue to address this demand by offering more innovative, healthy alternatives."
