Dominique Ansel creates St George’s Day pastry

Exclusive to his London bakery, Cronut inventor and pastry chef Dominique Ansel has created a limited-edition St George’s Day pastry.

The miniature pastry knight is available up until St George’s Day (23 April), only in Dominique Ansel’s DAB London venture in Belgravia.

Ansel said his team were “getting ready for St George’s Day” with the new creation, which is named St George Religieuse.

It is “a classic French double-decker cream puff, dressed up like a gallant knight, filled with yellow peach gelée and lemon verbena ganache”, according to Ansel.
