Millie’s Cookies has crowned employee Vicky Pullen as its Creative Cookie Designer of the Year.

Pullen triumphed at the finals of the first global Millie’s Cookies’ Ice-Off Championships, held in London on Friday 13 August 2010.

The contest was created in order to recognise the skills of its employees for icing celebration cookies, which are a key part of its product mix and have seen continuous year-on-year growth, said the firm.

Pullen impressed the judges with her redesigns of Millie’s Cookies’ Cookie Whirl, Cookie Pop and Celebration Cookie. The only rule on the day, was that the three product designs had to be completed within 40 minutes.

Building on her entry design of a tiger’s face, Pullen recreated a the image of a tiger cub, using just icing. She was awarded with an iPad and will now go on to become a trainer for other Millie’s Cookies employees,

“I’ve really enjoyed the creative process and I’m looking forward to training my colleagues at Millie’s Cookies and sharing my passion for icing cookies with them,” commented Pullen.
