Artisan bakery chain Paul UK has confirmed Newbury as the site of its second regional opening.
According to M&C Report, the outlet will open on Wednesday 25 March and will mark the group’s 32nd opening overall. A further five sites are expected to open this year. December saw the launch of Paul’s first site outside London, which opened in Oxford city centre.
Jean-Michel Orieux, chief executive, told M&C Report: “This is a very exciting time for Paul and we hope that our arrival in Newbury will be a great addition to the busy shopping centre, which welcomes thousands of visitors each year. We look forward to welcoming locals and tourists alike to enjoy our exclusive range of French classics, traditional, hand-crafted bakery and fine patisserie products.”
The business, which has sites in 29 countries, creates handmade tarts, cakes and pastries on-site, as well as baguettes, salads and artisan breads.
It also recently launched a pizza range, which is available at the Oxford site.
