The School of Artisan Food (SAF) will be offering Advanced Diploma students the chance to gain work experience at a number of nearby bakery businesses.

From Monday 16 January, aspiring bakers will be offered the opportunity to work at artisan businesses, including Hobbs House Bakery, The Handmade Bakery, Hambleton Bakery and Welbeck Bakehouse.

Sheila Russell, director of studies at SAF. said: “We are fortunate to be able to offer our students the opportunity to go on placements to some of the best artisan food producers in the UK and, in some instances, further afield.

“To be able to meet and spend time with these producers inspires and helps students to crystallise their own plans for a future working in the artisan food industry and is a very important part of their Advanced Diploma.”
