East Midlands chain Birds Bakery has announced a new partnership with delivery service Just Eat.

Thew new delivery service launches today (26 September) and will allow customers to have items from 11 of Birds Bakery’s stores delivered direct to their front doors.

Customers will be able to choose from a range of hot items, including sausage and bacon cobs, roast pork rolls, steak slices and sausage rolls. A selection of lunchtime filled rolls such as tuna & cucumber, ham & egg, egg mayonnaise and cheese & pickle, will also be available.

Birds’ sweet treats will also be available via the delivery platform, including the Caramel Doughnut, Cream Puff, Orange Danish & Cream Slice. For those wanting freshly baked bread delivered, customers can pick from a range that includes the Farmhouse Loaf, Multiseed Loaf and Dinner Rolls.

  • Littleover, Derbyshire
  • Allenton, Derbyshire
  • Melton Road, Nottingham

Birds Bakery has 62 stores in the region, and it hopes to roll the service out to more stores in the future if the consumer appetite is there, it said.

The business already operates a nationwide delivery service via its online shop, which it launched in late 2021 to coincide with the launch of its festive range. Called Birds by Post, customers can purchase a range of treats alongside gift vouchers, corporate gifts, and Birds Bakery branded gifts for delivery as well as seasonal sharing boxes, such as the Halloween sharing box currently available.
