Gail’s Bakery has rolled out its first-ever advent calendar, featuring chocolate treats and gift certificates that can be exchanged for baked products such as mince pies.
Available at all 38 sites and online for £30, the ’12 days of Christmas’ advent calendars have the strapline ‘What My Baker Made for Me’, and depicts its Blackheath Bakery near Greenwich and includes bespoke chocolate treats behind 12 doors.
The 12 chocolates – inspired by Gail’s classics – use the bakery’s bread and other favourite ingredient. They include Chocolate Sourdough Clusters and handmade ‘mini’ baguettes.
Gail’s also has put hand-tied gift certificates behind each door, including ones for mince pies, baked madeleines and warm toast with butter & jam, which can be redeemed at one of its bakeries from 1 December to 31 January 2018.
The advent calendars were created in collaboration with London chocolatier Alex Mariz and illustrator Christopher Brown.
Greggs recently launched its first-ever advent calendar, including Festive Bakes and mini gingerbread biscuits.
