A new zombie-inspired video created by Greggs has gone viral for Halloween and accumulated more than 100,000 views.

The video, entitled **Britain Prepare for Zombies** Only Humans Allowed features a range of zombies wandering around a UK high street among shoppers and invading one of the high street bakery firm’s outlets.

Already receiving just over 112,500 views on video hosting website YouTube, the viral video has been created to celebrate the launch of Greggs’ Halloween range in stores to maximise on the festivities, including pumpkin doughnuts, eyeball cornflake cakes, bat biscuits and creepy cupcakes.

The new range will be handed out by zombie bakers in the run-up to Halloween throughout major UK cities.

Greggs has also conducted a poll of more than 1,000 Britains to reveal the popularity of Halloween, with 54% of adults planning to dress up for the spooky celebration this year.

Nearly two-thirds (63%) of people claimed to be doing something Halloween-themed ahead of 31 October, including throwing a party (36%) and buying or making Halloween treats (19%).

A spokesperson for Greggs said: “Halloween is a great excuse for adults to act like children again. Whether it’s dressing up, carving pumpkins, or spending the night in with some nail-biting horror flicks, they are truly immersing themselves in the spirit of the spooky day.

“The popularity of zombie and vampire-related films, such as True Blood or Resident Evil, are inspiring people to be more adventurous with their Halloween costumes. The more unusual fancy dress ideas, such as Boris Johnson or Simon Cowell perfectly capture our cheeky nature.”
