Burton’s Biscuit Company has announced a design refresh and the launch of a sharing format for its Cathedral City Baked Bites.
The Cathedral City Baked Bites brand will benefit from new pack designs, which Burton’s said “will align the range with the Cathedral City masterbrand”.
In addition to the new packs, the company is also introducing a Cathedral City Baked Bites Sharing Box. Launching into Sainsbury’s this month, the product will be available in case sizes of 10, with an RSP of £1.50.
The brand will also be dual-sited on the Crisps, Snacks & Nuts and Savoury Biscuits fixtures in-store, which will “drive purchase and improve the shopper experience”, according to the company.
David Costello, head of category and shopper management at Burton’s, said: “By aligning our pack designs with the Cathedral City masterbrand we have a unique opportunity to drive growth within the savoury snacking category with the nation’s favourite cheese – a household brand that’s instantly recognisable among shoppers.
“Similarly, by introducing the Cathedral City Baked Bites Sharing Box, we’re helping retailers tap into the snack foods opportunity, with evening snacking being the most common consumption occasion for share packs.”
