Wigan-based Poole’s Pies has secured an exclusive contract to supply Asda with its full range of fruit pies and crumbles.
The bakery manufacturer will be supplying 13 own-label SKUs to the retailer from next month, with savoury lines to follow in Spring 2013.
The agreement follows the launch of Poole’s new frozen range of lattice-topped apple, cherry, rhubarb, apricot and blackcurrant pies.
Neil Court-Johnston, managing director, said: "We’re sure that a combination of value, quality and a growing desire for more ‘authentic’ or ‘traditional’ desserts will lead to a warm reception for our new range."
The products will be available at 500 stores throughout the country.
