Café Royal in Regent Street, London, recently gave dessert lovers everywhere cause for delight by launching a dessert restaurant.

The menu is devised by executive pastry chef Sarah Barber and treats dinners to a variety of sweet plates, all served with optional wine pairings.

Barber spoke to British Baker and told us both about the menu and the deep personal connection she has with the historic Café Royal.

Barber also took us behind the scenes to show us how one of her creations, the Queen of Hearts, is constructed.
