Scottish co-operative launches premium doughnut range

28 September, 2015

Scotland’s largest independent co-operative has announced the launch of a new premium doughnut range.

Scotmid Co-operative’s Candy Crisp range will initially be delivered daily to its Leven Street, Easter Road, Rannoch Terrace, Pilrig and Stockbridge stores in Edinburgh.

Colin McLean, chief operating officer at Scotmid, said: “We believe that Candy Crisp doughnuts are the most delicious on the market and we are very excited about the possibilities of this launch.”

The range has been in development for over a year, including adapting to feedback for customer taste panels.

Current flavours include salted caramel, toffee, mango, fudge and lemon meringue, but it is anticipated that these will change through the year to reflect seasonal changes.
