Wrexham-based business The Village Bakery will supply its pies to Wrexham football supporters for their first home game of the season this weekend at The Racecourse.
The bakery has continued its expansion into the sports industry and will provide pies for football fans at The Racecourse to improve their match-day experience.
Wrexham Football Club commented: “We are very excited to introduce the Village Bakery into the stadium and believe providing high-quality pies, sourced locally, will be a big hit for fans and lead to an upsurge in income from our concourse food outlets, all of which will now make our club stronger.”
The company is one of the fastest-growing bakeries in the UK, and has deals with major retailers, including The Co-operative, Asda and Tesco throughout Wales. It specialises in freshly crafted breads, rolls, pies and a variety of morning goods. In 2014 it won the Bakery Manufacturer of the Year category at British Baker’s Baking Industry Awards.
In April, The Village Bakery struck a deal to supply 27 Tesco stores in South Wales, adding to the 16 it already sells to in North Wales.
