Dorset-based bakery brand Thomas J Fudge’s has expanded its savoury selection with the launch of new Mini Wafers and Crackers & Crispbreads.
The launch feeds into growing consumer demand for snacking, sharing and spicy formats, and includes new packaging for optimum exposure on the shelf.
The new range will be available in Waitrose from 14 August. The Mini Wafers (RSP: £2.25) are available in a trio of flavours: Punchy Jalapeño, Thai Chilli and Melty Cheddar.
The Crackers & Crispbreads packs come as duos (RSP: £2.45), and will debut in Almond & Cranberry and Hazelnut & Apple crackers, Sunflower & Caraway and Pumpkin & Sesame crackers and Spelt Sourdough and Rye Sourdough crispbreads.
Paul Vita, Thomas J Fudge’s joint managing director, commented: “The new Mini Wafers and Crackers & Crispbreads offer consumers the indulgent and innovative flavours and formats currently driving growth in the swelling savoury biscuit market.”
He added: “The launch will support our aim to become the UK’s No 1 premium biscuit brand and, as a result, boost value and growth in an overall static biscuit category.”
Thomas J Fudge’s is a bakery that was established back in 1916 and celebrated its century this year with a series of events.
In April, Thomas J Fudge’s secured investment from mid-market private equity business Livingbridge.
