The Real Good Food Company (RGFC) has reported that the group is on track for strong third-quarter growth at its Annual General Meeting.

Pieter Totté, chairman, referred to his previous commentary on the 2011/12 results, when he said the firm had delivered on its commitment to return the group to growth in both sales and profitability, with EBITDA up 62% at £9.1m on a like-for-like basis.

For the 2012/13 financial year, the firm saw strong first-quarter results, followed by a slightly flatter second quarter. However, “early indications suggest that our seasonally-strong third quarter will be exciting”.

Totté added that the group was embarking on a key period of expansion.

RGFC owns independent non-refining distributor of sugar Napier Brown, dairy ingredients firm Garrett Ingredients, bakery ingredients suppliers Renshaw and R&W Scott and patisserie and dessert manufacturer Haydens Bakery.
