Crepeaffaire has announced further expansion with outlets planned in Reading, Cambridge, Oxford and Richmond.
The sweet and savoury baked goods producer, which already has seven outlets in the UK, will open two stores this year in Reading, Broad Street and Cambridge, Bridge Street.
According to the business, plans are yet to be finalised for the Oxford and Richmond branches, due to open in 2014.
Daniel Spinath, managing director of Crepeaffaire, said: “Gradually over the past few years, we’ve developed a clear business model. With the economy improving, and a clear direction, now is the right time to expand.
“We’ve had a fantastic year, and we’ve found the right places for the brand to go to be more commercially successful.”
Spinath added that starting from now, Crepeaffaire will look to open five outlets per year.
Currently employing 50 staff, the expansion will see employee numbers increasing to close to 100.
“It’s very important not to go for growth for the sake of it,” said Spinath. “This is all about building the brand.”
The business is also opening a store for the first time in continental Europe, with an outlet in Hamburg, Germany, opening early next month.
