Denbighshire family-run business Henllan Bakery has signed a contract with Morrisons to supply a number of its products to the retailer.
The contract will include supplying 12 Morrisons stores with four bread lines and a further 39 outlets with its five-strong cake slice range.
“This is a great achievement for the whole company, seeing our craft baked products on Morrisons shelves,” said Tom Moore (pictured above), production director at the bakery, which recently underwent a rebrand and launched new packaging across its entire range.
“Seeing growth year on year for our craft products, baked the traditional way, is a huge success and something we’re all very proud of.”
Andy Clegg, senior buying manager for bread and commodities at Morrisons, said the retailer was delighted to be with working with Henllan.

“We are looking forward to growing the sales of local Welsh bakery products in our Welsh stores. It’s especially satisfying that our customers in Denbigh can now buy bakery products, freshly delivered every day, from a local craft bakery business in the town.”
Henllan Bakery has been run by the Moore family for five generations, after setting up in 1908. The company employs 80 people and exports its products to the US to “promote its Welsh produce”.
