United Biscuits-owned McVitie’s has unveiled a new Penguin Mini Biscuits range in a multi-pack format.
Available in six 25g packs, the new range will be rolling out across major retailers and convenience stores in mid-January with a recommended retail price of £1.69.
McVitie’s has predicted the launch will have a retail sales value of £1m, adding that it marks the firm’s “continued commitment to innovation in the sweet biscuit category”.
Kerry Owens, brand director at McVitie’s, said the company was excited to introduce the new format.
“The new miniature biscuits allow us to continue to liven up snacking,” she added. “As the largest NPD for the brand for several years, we anticipate strong shopper demand.”
Penguin Mini Biscuits will be promoted as part of McVitie’s ongoing Sweeet marketing campaign.
The company recently extended its Nibbles range with a Hobnobs variant.
