French bakery and patisserie chain Paul UK has raised £23,000 for charity Wires (Australian Wildlife Rescue Organisation).
The money was raised by Paul donating all the revenue from sales of hot drinks on 24 January, across its 37 stores nationwide.
The total will contribute to helping the rehabilitation of wildlife and eco-systems affected by Australia’s bushfires.
“Due to the fantastic efforts of our staff, and through the wonderful loyalty of our customers, Paul UK has managed to raise a staggering £23,000,” said Rachel Meier, sustainability development and project manager at Paul.
“This is an incredible achievement in one day, which would not have happened without our amazing customers and team!”
Paul UK has also recently raised £13,000 for food waste charity The Felix Project.
