Pret A Manger is set to open two new Veggie Pret stores today (12 March).
Both former Eat stores, the new sites in St Mary Axe and King William Street, London, extend its total store count to 10.
Both shops will sell a range of vegetarian and vegan menu items, many of which are exclusive to Veggie Pret.
The openings follow the launch of its Cardinal Place, Victoria site earlier this month, and add to a list of existing shops in London and Manchester. Further openings are planned for the next few months.
The Eggless Mayo and Cress Baguette is currently its best-selling sandwich or baguette, followed by The VLT (a vegan BLT), said the company.
In 2019, Pret acquired Eat, to drive Veggie Pret’s expansion. Its total number of shops grew from four to seven, and it rolled out new products including the Vegan Classics, a range of sandwiches and wraps based on Pret’s most popular items.
Veggie Pret was created in 2016 after the company asked customers how Pret could offer more vegetarian options, it added.
The brand is constantly engaging with consumers as it grows and will be taking on feedback and suggestions as future menus are developed.
