Samworth Brothers-owned malt loaf maker Soreen has supported Great Ormond Street Hospital’s charity campaign Bake It Better after donating £5,000.

The Bake It Better campaign encouraged aspiring bakers to hold a bake sale last week (19-23 October) to raise vital funds for the hospital. Soreen gave the campaign a financial boost in order to raise enough money to make a difference for seriously ill children across the nation.

Soreen has also supported the charity by fuelling runners with 1,600 lunchbox loaves for competitors who ran the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon in London at the start of the month (Sunday 9 October).

Both the donation of £5k and the 1,600 lunchbox loaves in original malt and banana flavours reflect Soreen’s support of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, which helps to fund the hospital’s most urgent needs.

Soreen’s lunchbox loaves are available to purchase from all major supermarkets including Asda and Sainsbury’s at an RRP of £1.35.

In September the mini loaves were recommended by nine out of 10 MumPanel members as a healthy snack alternative for lunchboxes for all ages.
